I am generally pretty liberal with intellectual property, but in this case I won't make a copy of mine, sorry. The video is available from the Trompos Space store for 12 euros but I believe the online shop will not give you the option to ship to USA. You would need to write to Javier Caballero to find out the cost and finalize the purchase.

Instead of using the word copy I should have just said does anyone have an extra DVD they could send me. I'm not into pirating and that's not what I meant. I would like the DVD to watch and learn from. thank you for directing me to Trompo Space link. I'll try to write to Javier Caballero about getting  Gerardo Montero's instructional DVD.

later...

Hey Mark,

Did you get a copy of the video?
It will take a couple of weeks to arrive, but I have an extra copy coming if you're interested.

Welcome John to the board!

By the way, your Mexican tops shipped today  :)

There are other John's here, so you may want to consider spicing your screen name. On the other hand, a good avatar will do  ;) (it is the tradition that when you reach 15 posts you need an avatar). By the way, anybody can update their screen names by editing their profile. All the previous posts will change to the new screen name.

Hello John.
Welcome to the board.
It looks like you'll be getting a lot of neat spin top stuff arriving there at your mail box soon.
I'm interested in the DVD.
I'll PM you.

Happy Spinning,
_Mark Magyar

Thanks for the welcome and the helpful hints!

Looking forward to getting the Mexican tops, Ta0!  Muchisimas gracias!
If anyone ended up with a Maya from 5 Estrellas they'd be willing to part with, I'd love to have one!  I spend a lot of time in the Yucatan and am interested in anything related to mayan culture.

On the mail, I've got three shipments coming.  I've probably gone a bit overboard (and dragged my brother along with me) considering I still haven't figured out the boomerang!  But I figure I'm going to need something a little nicer than my Imperial.

Yes, welcome Cosa.  It is great to read about your interest and enthusiasm.

So, you spend a lot of time in the Yucatan?  Why is that?  Where do you live?

ps.......with this post I now have the grand slam of itopspin.com with the last post in every category!

Thanks for the welcome, Mike!
I live in Oakland, CA now, but my partner is from Mérida, Yucatan.
We lived there and Playa del Carmen for a few years, so I get down to visit friends and family.  Hope to eventually move back there.  Have you been?

I have not been to the state of Yucatan but I was on the Yucatan peninsula a few years ago when I went to Cancun with my family for a vacation.  One day I may get there on a top spinning tour with ta0.

Spinqueen is from the Oakland, California area.  I don't think Poptop is too far from there either.  Do you have anyone to spin with?

Well, I think I have one among the ones I`ve got. I you are still interested, make me know it.
In fact, those are very hard to find, even here, in Mèxico.
