Nice to see Steve going for new top tricks, or at least a hybrid yo-yo/top.
The trick is Ridikkulus complex, indeed. However, I would say it is the same as Helitopter
(discussion thread (http://www.ta0.com/forum/index.php?topic=1185.msg11886#msg11886)) by Takeshi:

Helitopter: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ta5kmJ9mPg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ta5kmJ9mPg)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ta5kmJ9mPg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ta5kmJ9mPg)

The difference I can see is that Steve seems to have the top tied at the end of the string what lets him go faster while Takeshi just has it on an MGR hold so he needs more control and to go slower. Anyway, a radical trick independently created by two great players.

I wonder if Alan inspired Steve's version?  Alan is a big fan of the tethered top.
