Title: Top battles in amateur movie from Peru

Cuper told me about this amateur short (9 minute) fictional movie, El Trompo.  The main story line are top battles. But it is a harsh movie, showing very poor kids somewhere in Peru and touching the subject of domestic violence.  The top scenes look pretty realistic (but not the acting) as the kids probably play tops in real life (and likely live under similar conditions). Warning: lots of swearing (in Spanish) by the kids.

Cuper also sent me a link to a nice short story (in Spanish) about a kid who wanted to spin every top of the village: El niño de los trompos (http://40limon.es/2011/01/el-nino-de-los-trompos/)

Both stories have a twist at the end used to give a moral teaching.

im a little confused now but i enjoyed see the tops thrown  ;)
