Showing off this amazing piece of maple saved from a 280 year old tree I harvested, and save every cut off from. I've made some giant bowls from this tree, still a few large pieces left. This top is 5.5inches diameter:

Also for future raffles it would be an idea to have auctions on popular numbers.

ta0, you should ask 50 percent more for specific numbers. That could have been a good idea. We might implemented in a future raffle. Anyway, if somebody wants a specific number, they should get it as soon as possible, before somebody else gets it. |

hi all Well, Maurizio also asked me for a specific one. Let's give people what they want. I'll change the rules so this is possible. You can ask for the number(s) when paying. |

I found out from this very good article from a Russian (!) figurine collector that: "After the end of WWII "Louis Marx & Company" registered a new subsidiary, "Charmore Company", named in honor of David Marx's wife Charlene." Marx was an American company but also had manufacturing in Europe.
is it difficult to detached ,to release the string ? The secrete is to release the tension when the string becomes untwisted between the twist-right and the twist-left phases. If you time it correctly, centrifugal force will open the string and the top will be released. Some of the tricks require releasing the top and sending it in a specific direction and I find that more difficult, specially upwards when you spun it sideways. |
