The rules for the competition can now be found here:
https://spintops.org/2022-rules/There will be Open, Traditional, Women and Youth divisions. There will be no Sports division as last year there were no competitors registered for that division.
This year there might be a preliminary selection for chonkakegoma if there are many entries in this style (at least 2/3 of the routine with a chonkake, regardless of the player's country). In that case we will ask the Japanase Chonkakegoma Association to score them and the best 5 will then enter the general scoring. Those freestyles that don't qualify to the finals will have their scores normalized based on the final score of the chonkake routines in the finals.
The same might be done with the Colombian Trompo freestyles if there are a lot. In that case we will try to get a panel with judges that work as such in Colombia to do the preliminary scoring.
The rest of the rules remain the same as last year. You need to be or become a full ITSA member to enter.
Good luck!
