as i was opening old boxes of magazines i came across some copies of SKQ "stunt kite quarterly'

and browsing through a 1989 issue , i find this page  :) :)

Nice to see Eric in his prime!  ;D

Chicago Fire won the team competition in Galveston that year and Eric also did very well in the individual competitions. Those old magazines can be downloaded: here

Wow! 31 years ago....The Chicago Fire Kite Team is still going strong.  Our next event is The Kite Festival @ Grand Haven (Michigan) May 15-17.  Thanks for posting this Jim !!!

In other kite flying news, the wonderful festival at Berck (Berck-sur-Mer) and the associated World Sport Kite Championships are cancelled for 2020...... :(

ah ah ! salut Eric ! you know at that time i was a subscriber to SKQ and Kite lines
each copy was read by more the 20 people , even photocopied for the club de cerf-volant..
(........).after parapenting in the 80ties , I was infected by the kite bug, and got to meet and hang around André Cassagne regularly in the bois de vincennes...later in 94 there was the Cervoling in Le Touquet: after the comps ,we all had free access to the Aqualud and all the teams were having a splash and a drink at the open bar:that is precisely where i first saw a yoyo demo by one of the team high performance guy(...)
