hi all
I came across this engraving in an antique books fair : "l'enfance" by guillaume de gelin "

after some thoughts , I checked in the book: "histoire des jouets" written by René-henry d'allemagne
and it was here !
spintop related for sure

there's another engraving printed in this book with kites and tops together(one kite is diving down and the tail is perfectly represented)

I don't own a copy of this book but courtesy of Cyril , he printed it in full after hours of scanning...;-)
