I need to fix the drill attachment to get it up to speed. But I also want to try other ways of starting it . . .
Having made top starters of all kinds for my LEGO tops...
Drill pros: One-handed operation, potentially easy engagement.
Drill con: Limited release speed -- clearly an issue given Vulcan Red's high critical speed.
ay I suggest something like the ribbon-pulls below? Of all the designs I've tried, they deliver both the highest starting torques =and= the highest starting speeds in a single starter.
Two ribbon features that turn out to very valuable in actual use: Hand-friendly with excellent grip at any point along the ribbon. Will need a long drive shaft to get the starter above the top.
