Lourens Bas "The Lost Art Of Spinning Tops" 2011 Limited Edition
Just arrived from and ebay seller.  It is quite beautiful and an overwhelming amount of information.
I have had this on my ebay search list for years.

I've read my copy at least twice and have looked through it countless times. Love all the attention paid to 19th and early 20th century mechanical (non-throwing) tops -- especially those from Japan and Germany.

Congratulation, Kirk, but how did you let it pass the first time?

I've read my copy at least twice and have looked through it countless times.
The whole thing? It took me for ever to just read it once. But I did it very carefully.
I'm very honored to be in the acknowledgments page.

25/500 ici.  :)

I was not spinning tops in 2011.  Were only 500 were printed?  Mine is #38.
The seller was in Lincoln Nebraska and said it was from an estate.  I feel extra blessed to not pay 70 Euros.
