I heard a rumor that there may be an unusual number of top-spinners at the Flatland Juggling Convention this year in Omaha NB in June.  You know how rumors are... but I believe it.

They haven't posted official dates yet, but they will eventually be posted here: http://www.underthecouch.com/

That is in walking distance for me. I live in Omaha NE.
The venue is 7 blocks away. You are welcome to stay at my house Chris. Any other top spinner that want to attend can stay here too. I will even show you my work shop and top/yo-yo collection.
I heard a rumor that Mark may attend the festival. It is always a great time.

I heard a rumor that Zeemo might attend the fest.  I also heard a rumor/started a rumor that Jorge might come if enough other top-spinners are coming.

The infamous Alan Grayinski workshop will be open for a tour in late June?  Oh my.......

Let's see, Omaha is only 635 miles away.  If I start walking now I can make it there in time if I just get in five miles a day!

June over there may be warm enough for me ;) Lots of spinners? check! Free lodging? check! Does Amtrak go to Omaha?
Seriously, this year I may already have a full schedule. But it is tempting, no doubt .  .  .

Awesome!  That makes 5 of us I think.

Alan Gray
Chris Neff
Zeemo
Rick Previtt
and me!  (Mark Hayward)

Plus, I would expect to have Chad Lunders, Jek Kelly, and possibly even Eric Wolff.  Maybe with a little pressure we could even get Jon Gates to come.  We might even have to have an Ultimate Batteltop Championship.

This actually does have the potential to be a foot-stompin' rootin' tootin' whistlin' hollerin' top-spinnin' good time!
(for those of you who mainly speak a language besides English, that was just a lot of goofy slang to say we're going to have a lot of fun.)

I did make it to the flatland J. quite a few years ago.  I was asked to bring my top collection and did.  Really had a great time.  There are several great friends that spin tops there. :)

With so many talented top spinners lining up, this might be the place to be in June. Also might be a great place to get ready for world's. Hmmm...

If I'm on Marks list, do I have to go?   ;)

Really, this could be a great top spinnin turn out.  Jon's from Lincoln too, so there's more incentive for him to come back for a visit.  He made it to last years Flatland (held in Lincoln) and broke a pop bottle trying to give it a spin!  And Mark was the MC at our Lincoln public show a few years ago as well.

looking forward to seein everyone at Flatland.

rick

I have heard from Renee Crosby and the gym is not confirmed as of this date.  She may have an answer this week. Tentative dates for the festival are June 4-6.  If the gym is confirmed I am a definite for this and am thinking of arriving on the 3rd so I can spend more personal time with friends.  I am hoping Chad Launders and Patrick Donahoe will be there also.  Two years ago Felix of the Duncan crew was there and performed in the public show.  Non stop airfare from Detroit was $320 round trip when I checked last week.  If you don't want to walk to Omaha like Mike check Delta's website.

YAY!  Jon Gates!
I just watched a VHS tape the other night, some random stuff a juggler friend gave me years ago.  It's got you at the Renegade show in 98 (I think) throwin' 3A (barefoot) and tops (still barefoot).
