I’ve had some 1 5/8” 6061 bar stock from a previous project lying around for a few years without any plans for what to do with it.  I decided to cut off a little bit and try to make a top.  My wood tools did a pretty good job of shaping the outside, but I had to use a dremel to help hollow out the inside.  It’s a fun little top that looks better than it plays, but it was definitely fun to make!  1.5” diameter, 65 grams with a steel fixed tip.

I've been watching this video in loop, I love smaller toys Maybe one day I'll get some smaller metal tops, who knows!!! =) It looks very cool!

Gorgeous top, Jospin! I'm curiously drawn to elegantly shaped and machined metal objects, and this top certainly fills the bill.

Cometa makes an aluminum top now.  Although, it doesn't have as nice of a shape.
