RGB = Red,Green, Blue
These tops use RGB LEDs to make all the colors through mixing. I PWM (pulse width modulate) each color to blend and and make new colors using red , green and blue. Same as LED monitors.

Glow in the dark string would be nice.

Renee, do you happen to know if this string is phosphorescent or fluorescent? The latter would glow only under blacklight, sunlight, or other sources of UV. But phosphorescent string would glow for a while on its own =after= light exposure.

Either way, the quickest, easiest, and most effective way to "pump up" the string would likely be with an LED blacklight flashlight.

Doesn't say at the link you posted. Given that it's a top string, guessing it's phosphorescent. Otherwise, it'd have to be under blacklight continuously to keep glowing. Not everyone has access to a well-blacklit space big enough for top throwing.
