Good photos!
The top passing game is always fun if there are several advanced players together.
Lada was really proud! When we met at the geyser you did not have a top but she had your trophy!  ;D

What's about the photo contest? Some of them should have their place?

hi all

i'm back !.. reading the 4 pages of report ;-)

top level in the competition
Daniel Jakub and Jose clearly stand out
very difficult tricks and a lot of risks taken
 my favourite combos
the 2T tangler followed by a double gyro by D
the incredible whips by JK
the solid smoothness of play and choice of music by Jo
big up for the monobolo/chonkake freestyles
Best of Show :
Dale the legend... Mike Houtrageously entertaining...Cuper so classy...
Target Shot :excellent photo, high skills, reminding what we do in Marines with the taiwanese tops
Orga : the greatest advantage of "tailgating the YoYO " (as Chris names it)
is that we didn't have to do anything except providing the judges and the trophies
the balance sheet should match what we had decided at the board
Future: it will be a difficult choice between China(YOYO CONTEST)
and Colombia(OFFICIAL INVITATION)
Format : I remain convinced that besides the contest we should profit from
the occasion to display the rest of the spintop culture : a wood lathe and tools,
an exhibit of tops ,a lego room, a long-wirewalker court to practice,a world record attempt etc
 etc //

that's it for now
ciao
jim

I don't want to forget to say thanks to amigo Marco Palma, the super duper Cuper, for his kind gifts of t-shirts and buttons and more for the top spinners.  That was very thoughtful.

I love those photos. Thanks, Rob!
It was not easy to find space to throw Figaro on the path down to the waterfall (or to carry it back up  ::) ).

The local paper ran a story on me compeating in the worlds competition . I am using it to advertise free yoyo and spintop lessons at our local toy store. I want to cultivate a community like Bird in Hand has done in Chico.

Also, thanks to Rob for the pic!

There was a reporter doing a story on a yoyo player who hung out with us for a bit. She mentioned she liked tops.

Great article, Jose! Congratulations!
It's wonderful that you are using the opportunity to start skill toy classes. Neff has lots of experience doing exactly that, so he may be able to give you advice.
You are really taking advantage of your placement on the over 40 yo-yo contest. But I'm looking forward to the new top spinners  ;)

The tops from the Iceland photo are Cuper's.
