Thanks Daniel for posting this! It's an honor to be a guest in the TOTW series!

I told Daniel about this trick in Reykjavik and in a few attempts he could do as many as I do on the video. I had the idea years ago (I showed it to Gus in Orlando), but I have not been able to do long runs because of misses. It's surely a regen trick, basically a Joker Choker around the body (I thought about naming it Joker's Revenge, but decided to go nice and called it Joker Hug  :P ). The only doubt is if it would be possible to stay facing the same direction at the steady regen spin or if the precession would force one to turn. It ain't easy, but I really look forward to seeing somebody do 20 or more catches in a row. That's a challenge for all you out there!  >:D

20 in a row is a serious challenge. My record so far is about 10 catches. It's a fun trick , good work.

Congratulations on number 90!  :o I hope 100 doesn't include a hand stand!  ;D

You could make a patch for every 10 tricks! (I have the feeling that I could regret saying that . . .)
Mm, perhaps a patch where you chose 10 tricks, 1 trick for every decade  (1-10, 11-20, etc)?

Good idea ta0!  :) We were also thinking about it in some way. For example choose 10 tricks to make level 1, choose next 10 tricks for level 2,...

We'll see if we can make it  :)

Number 90 is here!

Thanks for posting these Daniel.  Most of the time these tricks are above my current skill level, but I was able to do this one (#90).  Getting the jump part without the top falling off was tricky at first, but now I am more consistent with this part, getting the top to tip back up when it is behind my back still gets me sometimes though.  I look forward to getting better and trying more of the TOTWs.

Love it!  8) Very original!
Now you can add a move (e.g. a behind the back pass or a pirouette) between the wrap and the lasso and it would be super impressive! >:D

Those red tiles are rubber tiles, aren't they?  :-\ You wouldn't play the STB 2.5 over a hard surface with all that grass available.
Did I see a big wheel scooter?

Thanks guys  ;)

ta0: Red tiles are rubber. You can't see it in the video but there were quite wet conditions so moisture and mud would quickly mess up the bearing.
It is this scooter. I bought it a year ago and I really like it. It is really fast on the road and often more comfortable for long rides than a bike (of course a bit slower).

It was a warm weekend here and perfect to throw tops. A couple of tricks I practiced were the Barrel Bounce and the Whip to Corkscrew.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Let's bring some inspiration for next week. This one is not very innovative and can be done just with some buttons but it could be used as a transition between other tricks and you can modify it in many different ways.

Is that a dyed Spintastics button?  :-\

Spintastics buttons are my favorite, because you can change the string without having to tie off the end of the string and thread it through a hole. Now there is a second reason to like them  :) But I see some people in the future designing buttons specifically for grinds.

That is button from John Markus made together with that top I believe (it has the same pattern). Although you should know that better, you gifted me that top ;D. But the trick should work just fine with regular Spintastics button too.
