Bearing tip question from a footballartist
« on: December 17, 2012, 07:51:41 PM »

I received an email from Stijn De Pourcq, "footballartist" extraordinaire from Belgium.  He is looking for help with bearing tips, but not to be used in tops:

Quote
I'm looking for some Spin Top Replacement Tips?   Ball Bearing tips.
Can somebody tell me where to find them. Are there internet shops in Europe where i can buy them?
It's not for spin tops.
I'm a football (soccer) juggler and I need them for putting a spinning ball on for example a pole, stick.
So that my ball spins longer.
Can you help me?

I'll send him a link to this thread so he can read any suggestions.

You can see his amazing skill juggling footballs on his website:  www.footballstijn.net

Excellent skills!

I'm not sure how to install it in the ball, but here is the best bearing top tip you can buy:

You will also need 2 "Size A" bearings 5x10x4 mm, which can be selected on this page:

That is what I was going to say.  :D

I think he is wanting to put them in the end of a pole and place the ball on the point to spin.

Nice skills also.

Yes, excellent skills.  I spent years in a juggling club with a young juggler who developed into a pretty good ball spinner.  Some now say that Sean Blue is the greatest spinner in the world.  I have seen him on occasion since then but do not believe he has ever dabbled with spinning top tips.
