Jeromy's Big Top Adventure
« on: January 06, 2012, 06:42:01 PM »

Here are  few random pics of my large top project. It is made out of 3/4 Mdf and I will be using the tip assembly I made previously. When finished it will be 8 inched in diameter I have no idea how tall. My shop is still a mess from Christmas  :-[.

**Update** I made this while waiting for my glue to dry on the large top. It is Osage Orange with a Corian Bearing seat and Spintactiscs tip. 4 Inches tall 2 3/4 wide and for the most part hollow.( I don't have good tools for hollowing)

This is the last section to be glued on the body I will be able to turn it tomorrow.

I rough turned the crown and will be gluing the two parts together for the final turning in the next few night.

11 total 3 on the crown, 8 on the body. I hope to start turning tonight, I made it in two pieces so i can turn the inside of both sides then glue it for the final turning.
