I daresay we have another entry for the photo contest.  Nominated.

Sorry, I confess I did not take the nomination seriously. But on second thought, last year's contest proved that boobs carry lots of votes  So I have added it. Those who already voted can change their votes.

It's hard to separate the spinner from the top.  I want to pick the best image of a spin top, but in so many of these, a lot of the impact of the photo is the dynamic of the spinner in the shot.  Hard choices.

So far we had 17 members voting, but only 39 votes: 2.3 votes per person! At least 6 voters (and up to 12) did not chose 3 pics.
Remember: you should vote for your 3 top pics. 
There will be a second round of voting to determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Perhaps this year, we should add a few categories, say best top glamor shot, best top + top spinner, most artistic shot etc?

I do not recall the photo but, did I take it?    Even if I didn't, it is a great photo! Unfortunately, one year too late to count.
Mike also got his top photo in front of the Alamo when he visited. It may become a tradition

If you and SirBoot32 get your pictures taken in front of that historic structure that will bring the club to four.  Pretty soon people will be lined up with their tops to get their shot at the traditional shot!

Thirty three members have voted, but not everybody for three pics.
Takeshi's World seems to have secured a place in the second round of voting, but the other two places are open. Cat in the Top Hat and Splash are being challenged by Spin Spring, Spin in the Forest and Leopard Attack.

hi all

i was going to comment on the 5 best "photos" nominated , but i'll keep that off the record for now

what is sure is that most entries are "images" not "photographies"

a photo has a frame , an intention, an angle of view, a composition, a soul , a message

today with digital cameras you take 200 pictures/images and find half a dozen "good"
once printed , some of them might become "photographies"
the rest will stay somewhere in  a hard disk , and you will have hard times finding them in 10 years time
i suggest we call the contest "image " contest not "photo" contest

All great Photographic images, in my opinion.

The competition was tough and there were many deserving photographs.
