Yes, congrats Mr. Neff. That is a great picture. Of course, we believe you deserve more print than that but what they said was nice.
I, too, often hear the question "how many did you compete against." I try to tell them about the 700 plus competitors first......then only so many are good enough to compete (so many others chicken out when they see us practicing in the hall). Finally, only a few are able to make the final.
Oddly enough, seldom do people ask me about how many competed after track and field events. The finals often include only eight but many more are involved before the final few are selected.
