Here is my entry with a spinning Roy Campbell acrylic top, a gift from Larry D.: thanks a bunch!!!! Can you read the note on the calendar?




I love the lens quality of this top. It can work as a magnifier if it is almost touching the paper but I have not yet tried to see if I can make fire . . .

Now I really want to get some acrylic and make windows for the Holey top.  But most likely they will turn out to be lenses not windows . . .

Me and Mini Guilia #2 at the opera last night (Lyric Opera of Chicago - Bizet's Carmen last night).  The lobby of the opera house is a huge art deco space, and during intermission there are several thousand people, all dressed up.  You can imagine the looks I got......

I always have a mix of excitement and trepidation taking out a top at "non-expected" places. Perhaps I need to take Figaro to the opera, but I fear I may fall asleep and someone would take it away from me 

Nobody has mentioned it, but in the picture I marked the wrong Wednesday!
