Strummol8 photo set on Flickr

Hey guys,
I just got a Strummol 8 in the mail that will be featured on String Burn LIVE! in a couple of weeks.  The top is a work of art and I felt inspired to take photos of it and I did a quick tutorial on how you can convert the bearing tip into a fixed tip with a few easy steps.

Check it out.

Thanks Josh--nice pics.  I'm looking forward to playing one of my own...

Thanks also for putting tops on SBL.  Tops need all the spotlight they can get.

Yes, that is great!

I am sorry if I sounded too critical on the other post, I just was afraid some kids would think it was too difficult to try. It is really not that difficult if you have somebody to teach you, but you are right, we need more tutorials on the internet.

Are you going to do a corkscrew tutorial on the show? By the way, I hear a rumor that a special Strummol8 might be added as a prize for the corkscrew challenge at worlds . . .

Sweet pics Josh, thanks.  Love the comparison shots.  What's the date for the show?  I want a chance to win that Strummol!

those are good pictures, thanks for making them available.
it is great that you are giving some prime time to tops on SBL.
and yes internet tutorials are very much needed in the top world. it's hard to
get started with tops if you don't have some good help!

I'm excited too! I think I might've been a little too excited though. Hope I didn't bug Maurizio too much. Right now, I'm thinking about sewing together a special carrying case and using my dad's embroidery machine to put an 8 on it  ;D
