I used a 3d printer to print two new caps for my spin tops. Surprisingly, they are pretty smooth without the balancing putty. I can snap the cap into place, but the top can break in half from a heavy fall. It seems to be fine on grass or thick carpet.

Nice!

Have you already tried to print with flexible material (TPU)? It would be indestructible.

I have tried TPU, but it was a long time ago. I will give it a chance again once I run out of PETG. Since TPU is a bit flexible, I will have to adjust my measurement a bit. TPU is a harder to print, and it prints slower than PETG, so I have been using PETG for most of my projects.
