The contest had over 200 people!
We're so happy to show this culture's possibility to a lot of people.

He is the new Japan Natinal Champion, Toji.
He is one of the member of Kyoto practice meeting.
We will upload their routine soon.

Jun

2nd place: Kazuha

His routine is so nice with not only my trick but his original tircks.

Jun

3rd place: Nobu

Some people on this forum have seen him on the stage of the world contest 2023. His routine is so good but that didn't suit our rule.

Many familiar faces there, but also lots of players that I hadn't seen before, including the winner.

Ha! A balloon koma:

Very nice freestyle by Toji! How old is he?

By the way, I'm amazed how the behind-the-back whip has become a standard trick that lots of players do.

Jun

He is just 9 years old. I cannot believe his age in terms of his skill.
The behind-the-back whip has become a standard trick because Japan komamawashi association has nominated it for their dan ladder.

Good way of raising the level of play.

Nice to see Yukino showing how the trick is done (missed her when I visited the Nagoya museum in December).

Thanks for posting all the videos.

I could see your routine in Kazuha's. Great player!

Nobu's routine was very strong, just one missed whip from perfection. What rule didn't he follow?

Okada put a very good effort in keeping the honor of my generation  ;) . Also just one whip away from a perfect routine.

The main reason why he couldn't win the contest is that he got lower "Musicality score" than Toji and Kazuha.
I guess his skill is so high but his routine wasn't with music, especialy his consecutive whip.

The rules is not similar to the world contest's.

This is "30-seconds division", not so competitive but just fun.
https://youtu.be/nnbRCaz9ZfY

The rule:
1. Players have to bring koma on the stage.
2. They have only 30 seconds to perform what they want to do.
3. The sponsors choice their own favorite player and give them some prize.
