Uruguay is just good enough to qualify to the rugby world cup, but not good enough to be competitive for the title. This is already somewhat of an overachievement. In Uruguay it's mostly a rich boys game played in a few elite ($$$) high-schools (the opposite to the majority of the football/soccer players). But I know some of the players have continued playing professionally outside the country (including France, I believe).

Good luck to the Teros against France: they will need it!
I just hope they don't embarrass themselves like in the last world cup in Japan when they destroyed a night club after the end of the tournament (too much testosterone?).
I bet 99% of Uruguayans have never touched a ball that was not spherical (I did play just a little bit). On the other hand, tonight Uruguay plays Chile for the qualifiers to the football (soccer) World Cup and everybody will be watching.

Looks like lots of good games for rugby World Cup.  I am quite interested in the France/Uruguay matchup.  And, no, I never played rugby officially or even in the backyard.  I have a lot to learn.
Happiness runs in a circular motion!!!

thanx for the audio document !
Uruguay played very well against france : they scored 2 tries and showed a very mature game with a lot of flair (in the good sense)

so far , the top teams are present (england south africa australia ireland etc  )
we'll see what the All Blacks do to get to quarter finals

good day

Wow! One point hurts!

Good comeback of Argentina after losing the first game.
Uruguay was crushed by New Zealand in it's last game, what makes more sense than it's first 3 games where it won one and was somewhat competitive in the other two.

jim in paris

the final takes place this week end

NZ vs South Africa

a world "crunch" for sure
