Registration started somewhat slow, but we already have 4 countries registered.
Keep them coming!

I have created a page with the list of competitors registered so far:

Registration has been slow, but I think it will pick up soon.

We need 4 more women and 4 more youth for those divisions to happen.

ta0

We received a batch of registrations from Japan today, that included 5 women, so the women division is officially a go!  :) We also got another youth.
I will update the list tomorrow, after some players confirm their divisions, but we are at 41 competitors as of today.  8)

I updated the list on the website. We currently have 44 competitors.

I believe some of the Japanese players registered in Open Division instead of Traditional Division by mistake, so there might be a reshuffle.

Jun

Some Japanese players will perform with Chonkake made by POM, so they registers Open division.

We have reached 50 registered competitors!  8)

I expect a batch of European players after the Mallorca festival.

For a long time most (and often all) of the players competing in "worlds" were from the US. Unfortunately, we currently have very few US players willing to compete.

The reasons why few US players currently compete are probably several and some may just be cyclical. It doesn't help that there isn't a US toy company pushing tops. Duncan and Yoyofactory are primary yo-yo companies with a lukewarm support for tops.
