Hello folks,
After every few throws, I have a sore finger..
Sometimes resulting in a blister. Main cause is the cord against my finger the whole time, while I'm winding the top.
My skin burns after a short time.
I'm getting tired of it. So, I finally found a way to avoid it!
After some thinking, I made some 'band aids ' you can use over and over.
I made them from elastic polyester. Those you can get from a sewing store.
I stitched the ends together by hand. It works perfectly!
Just tried it out, and no hurt finger anymore!
Made two of them. Just in case   :D.
FINALLY! No two weeks waiting for a blister or skin to heal..
And it just took me maybe 10 minutes to make two. Probably just 7 or 5 minutes. (I didn't looked at the clock!)

What do you folks do to avoid hurt fingers or blisters?

Most say to just get used to it, and the skin will harden a bit after a time.
But I don't practice every day, so my skin can't get used to it. Sometimes weeks pass by till I decide to throw a top again.
Now I don't have an excuse to not throw a top.  :D. I have plenty of time. The main issue was the damn blister and bare skin.. Fixed!

I used something similar to what you made that came with yoyo strings for a while but because I play every day I have a callus where the string rubs against my finger. It's more noticeable and painful when the string is oily or dirty so I just keep my strings clean to avoid it getting too bad.
