If your two stage pump is capable of producing "high vacuum" I don't think a gauge like the one  in your attached image is giving you useful readings.
The error will be larger then pressure left in your vessel. The vacuum gauge shown is only good for low vacuum.But maybe you just meant to show an exemplar image and you are really using something better suited for high vacuum  .
