Chonkake Goma Tutorials
« on: August 13, 2019, 08:25:30 AM »

I think I never saw this link mentionned anywhere. I was talking to Taka via facebook and asking him about tutorial for more than the basic for the big top and he pasted this knowledge bomb to me :

https://higochonkakegoma.jimdo.com/%E6%8A%80%E3%81%AE%E5%8B%95%E7%94%BB/

This is simply amazing...

Cheers,
Xav

ps: We should pin tutorial sites like this one and spintricks and to the forum. I think It could be beneficial!

Just got my paper Chonkakegoma, these videos are a great help, thank you for posting (and the input). First half hour of practice was really fun, it is a new world for me. Didn’t expect to break a sweat throwing tops!

Voici mes débuts avec ma CHONKAKE GOMA.

https://youtu.be/H-clFbUGDuM

What is the body of your Chonkake Thermo Golf? Did you wrap a spiral of paper like in the original? Or is it wood?

Wow! Daveid makes tops with string and glue, but you went a step further and skipped the string!  ;D

I brought from India exactly the same red string to throw tops used on the video. By the way, "Bhamarado" is spintop in Gujarati language (mother tongue of Gandhi).

Good turning. But I would have made the knob to be flush with the wood surface.
