She won't wear booties. :
poor love ! you could ask your wife to knit a pair of socks for her! ;)

Same problem. The dog's made her position quite clear: Try putting anything on my feet, and you'll have a fight on your hands!

Here I did not lose the electricity but now I have no water due to a frozen pipe.  ::)

Hope you're OK. The Arctic air mass has moved out of Colorado, but sounds like Texas is still in the thick of it. Can't imagine losing power in that cold.

My step daughter is in Austin and she says it is a mess.  Lots of electricity out and long lines at the grocery stores.  Hope ta0 and everyone is ok.  We have a lot of snow here (maybe 6-7 inches) but we are more used to it.  We are doing ok.

Fortunately, I haven't lost power (but others I know in San Antonio have for up to half a day). I am melting snow. I resigned myself to 2 more days without running water  :-[

Good luck! Sounds like you have another 2-3 days to go.

Since you still have power, might be a good time to watch Frozen on cable.

When it snows even 4 inches here in Denver, my mother-in-law in California always calls, saying that the news there was reporting a blizzard here.

Really hoping that the Texas news I'm seeing here is equally exaggerated.

I saw a video from my step daughter in Austin.  It was showing a long long line of people waiting to get into the grocery store.  It really surprised me.  I hope other stuff is exaggerated!!!

We've had some rolling blackouts here in Lincoln Ne. (I wasn't affected) but no real power outages or water problems. Probably due to the -31 degree night we had earlier this week. That's a new record. Add 13" of snow. It's been cold, let's say that.  :)

Yikes, -31⁰F is even impossible for a Coloradan to fathom! :o

Puts the recent pro-Novalny protests in eastern Russia in perspective. Many protesters came out in -50⁰F weather -- and that was before wind chill adjustment!!! :o :o :o
