@kyoteruya on IG has been doing a koma wire walker chain.  You can see parts 1 and 2 here:
https://youtu.be/bYOYQqrbvRs
https://www.instagram.com/p/CASP8LvARP6/

It started as koma only but now he has opened it up to top players around the world with any kind of top:

"We want to see more spintop players!
you can join with Spintop, then do wire walker
we start with koma, but you can use all kind of top.
Please show us variety and your home country tops with wire walker (any style), then pass it!"

It is a wire walker trick, from right hand to left.  Catch the koma/top in right hand (coming in from left side of screen) Wire walk to left hand.  Toss out of frame to left side of screen.
Wait until you are "tagged" to upload your video.  I will tag Jorge and he will then tag someone who signs up here.

Please copy and paste this into comments:

I'm in!

My handle in Instagram is Trompancio

I'm sorry about the Japanese characters not showing on the forum  :-[

Finally!

I should have fixed this a long time ago. ごめんなさい

Three ways of writing koma (in Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji characters):

こま
コマ
独楽

Thanks for adding Japanese characters.  I didn't look after I posted.  It looked pretty funny.  Fixed now.

Any chance of Greek letters -- if it's not too much trouble? Or better yet, Unicode support?
Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time ... and with spinning tops, we decorate both.

I doubt you ask because you want to write svoura (σβούρα).  ;)
With some trepidation, I can confirm that you can use Greek letters. Yes, now the forum displays Unicode (UTF-8) correctly.
But I hope you don't run out of Latin letters in your equations  ::) By the way, I don't like the look of π = 3.14159 . . .

Excellent! The only thing better than an equation about tops is one with Greek letters. >:D

Alas, ran out of Latin letters a long time ago. Thinking quantitively about tops in terms of proportions and other dimensionless ratios turns out to be very enlightening -- esp when you can tie a ratio to its parent quantity at a glance. Greek letters are great for that.

I just realized that I catch it from my left and throw to my right while everybody else does the reverse. I guess that's because I'm facing the other way  :P

I didn't realize that I need to invite somebody to join the chain after me. Any volunteer with Instagram handle, please post below.

Jose agreed to continue the chain.  8) But we need more players. This is easy, just a wire walker!
You don't need another person to throw you the top: just do a boomerang to the side (as I did).
This project helps bring together the koma and spintop communities.

This has been fun to watch (and take part in  8) ). Thanks for posting it here Mark - I hope some more folks jump in and play along too. Tao yours is great - I support shaking things up a bit and changing direction once in a while  :)

I thought it was supposed to go from right hand to left hand?
The instructions are a little confusing, ""It is a wire walker trick, from right hand to left.  Catch the koma/top in right hand (coming in from left side of screen) Wire walk to left hand.  Toss out of frame to left side of screen.
Wait until you are "tagged" to upload your video.  I will tag Jorge and he will then tag someone who signs up here."
It says the top both comes into and out of the frame from the left.  But, if you watch the koma video chain, the top comes in from the left and leaves to the right.
