Glue for Blizzard Bearing?
« on: February 28, 2010, 07:42:32 PM »

What kind of glue is recommended for putting a bearing back into a Blizzard?
and Is there a method to do besides that of using glue?

I would not recommend glue. It could get pushed into the bearing and render it useless.
I suggested to Dale that he try applying a thin layer of loctite on the outer race of the bearing. Allow it to dry before inserting into the body. It should make the bearing fit tightly into the body.

Has anyone tried this?

hi all

yes i have....
a tiny tiny drop of neoprene gel also works
even a cut cigarette paper on the outer rim can maintain the bearing

I like the locktite idea, any problems with it (or the solvent it's disolved in) reacting with the plastic body?
