New Trick
« on: November 12, 2019, 06:13:13 PM »

Sorry for the vertical filming on the video, it's the only way I could keep everything in frame. The trick happens at 0:09, 0:19 and in slow motion at the end.

While doing suns, pop the top off the string and without letting go of the string whip the top back on and continue doing suns.

A trick worth of a world champ!  ;)

I'll definitely try it. It's showy and looks like a lot of fun but probably not easy!

I was fortunate enough to catch a preview of this and when I watched him do it I just started laughing because of how impossibly better at spintops my brother is than me 😂 I’ll add this one to the lengthy list of tricks that I need to practice!

Thank you everyone I appreciate it.  :D

It's showy and looks like a lot of fun but probably not easy!

It's not too hard once you figure out how to get it off the string cleanly. It is very satisfying catching it back into suns without missing a beat.

Catch A Shooting Star :)

Seems appropriate, the video is now properly titled.

It is also impressive to see the weather that cold in Alabama!!!  Nice hat.

Today was the coldest day of the season so far tomorrow is also gonna be a cold one, I'll take it over Alabama heat though. :)

I tried a little bit but getting it off the string was a problem. I may need to change to starting with a Sewing Machine catch the Wheels of Fortune, as you do,  instead of out of a Trapeze catch.

Trapeze style suns has the string wrapped around the tip differently making the dismount much harder than sewing machine suns. The whip catch also puts the string into a a sewing machine suns wrap so even if you start from trapeze you’ll end doing sewing machine suns.
