BTW, for anyone having nostalgia for the Soviet Union, I highly recommend the Chernobyl miniseries now airing on HBO (part 4/5 tonight). Xfinity has parts 1-3 on demand.

Can't recall a more extraordinary TV offering. The script, casting, acting, settings, props, cinematography, and soundtrack are all superb. Most of it was shot in parts of Lithuania that still look a lot like the USSR in the 1980s. Never heard a soundtrack like that before, but chillingly perfect for this story.

The writer/producer says his goal was to show how badly things can go sideways when truth and politics part company. (Sound familiar?) I'd say he succeeded.
