Haha no much legendary here. I will admit that these were early attempts at orbits and I got better over time. Though half orbits that travel over the left arm are not very practical as a means of regenerating spin. Another spinner around here who is really good at orbits is John Markus aka johnm, however I don't think he is too much into making videos, though he might have some good insight.

That's the basic movement and you are very close.
You just need more practice to perfect it.
Perhaps if you try to swing the top a little less it will work better. When I do it I feel like I'm going around the top, not the top around my arm.

THISSSS ^^^

When I stop trying to get the top going around and start doing this ( that what made me click this morning ), that when I started hitting it...
Practiced a bit more, I think I'm getting better at it. Thanks for confirming I'm on the right path!

Cheers,

After playing way too much today... I can do around 20-30 right half orbit with my QSH. The weight balence of that top seem perfect for that trick. I can't do more than a couple on my 3 incher and the top just tends to fly of the string with the Giulia! Anyway like Neff said a couple of years ago!!! So much to learn!!!!
