I'll be working on long distance wire walkers when I can play outside.

Is a Kostas top right?

I'm planning a Taiwan Patch, what do you think??

It's 'a Kostas' me nothing. It was a gift.  :)

It came with this slick insert:

it references website www.svoures.gr - it's not been updated in a while and nothing for sale - no prices. It's too bad because the top is super nice.

A Taiwan patch? Might be fun. I am just starting with this type of top and it would be good to have a path for learning.

I took a day off recently and went to Vidler's 5 and 10 (Yes, it's an old timey type five and dime) and found these tops. My son bought one a few weeks ago and I made the trip to buy more.

They are very interesting. The body and crown are reminiscent of the mexican trompo (King Cobra model) complete with cobra logo. The button is very similar to the Duncan variety. The crown has the same slot with triangle as the Duncan tops. Mexican style holster and crown ring. They are bearing tip and have a light up feature which cycles through many colors as soon as the top begins to spin. Much to my surprise, they are very well balanced and play nicely. $2.99 each. I think they are a bargain.

If they have more, could you pick up a couple more and bring them to Miamisburg?  I would take two.

Got this beauty today from Wicked Pocket Tops.  It's stainless steel over nickel silver over zirconium with a bowlerite inlay.  Bowlerite is the polyurethane or reactive resin coverstock (shell) of a bowling ball.

Of course. You may need to remind me, though!

PrincessTrouble, those tops are fabulous!  And butterfingers, I cannot believe you found those tops in a regular store in town.  It is so cool to hear of all the things you all are picking up!!!

Been working on this one for a while.  It's made from HDPE I melted and supposed to be a OWB top, I thought I got it done, but the OWB won't lock on the Delrin tip  :'(  It's probably going to take a bit more love to get it working like I want.  Ended up locking the bearings to play with it fixed, it does okay... at least it looks pretty  :)
