My latest brass tops.  The center one has some sweet engraving.  It's a bit difficult to launch due to the high COG but once you master that, it's a smooth spinner.  The rightmost one has a guilloche pattern on it, made with a rose engine. Sort of an old technique for embellishing metal and wood, as I understand it.

The decorations on those tops are very nice!
Yoyospin on this forum does nice rose engine work on wood.
You may know Jochen, he posted very nice metal finger tops with rose engine decorations: Some of my tops

More a gift than an acquisition! Still thanks to my friend and Jose!!!

I am floored at how well this plays, was printed in transparent black abs without support. Needed to be ballenced with a bit of poster putty... now is dead smooth.
Thanks !!!

Go-Go Top by the Chuck Howard Mfg. Co. Bakersfield CA.  Just bought this silly little thing on ebay, with shipping less than $8.  It basically looks like two balls with a bolt through the middle.  Can't wait to give it a spin.  At the time (1970's?) it was billed as the "longest spinning top in the world" and "as seen on T.V.".  Pat. Pend. #193,667.  I imagine you might be able to play it like a diabolo with sticks and a string.  Of course, I rather throw it like a spin top.  There may be video after it arrives.

Beautiful tops, Pepe! You have really got into Taiwanese Tuoluo throwing!  :o  8)

Good catch, Renee. My version of this top was called the Spin-Bangers   :P

They are from the same company, but a slight change: mine is from Chuck Howard Toy CO. Inc. of Santa Monica, CA, while yours is from Chuck Howard Mfg., CO., of Bakersfield, CA.
That would suggest to me that yours is an earlier version. On the other hand, mine says Pat. Applied For, with no number, what would indicated the reverse  :-\ I would need to look at my patent files to see if I have that patent.

I brought my spin bangers to worlds in Cleveland and we had some fun with it. I could even boomerang them! But you have to be careful as they are solid heavy balls and could knock you out!

One day I need to assemble a gallery of tops that have claimed: "longest spinning top in the world". It's a long list  ;D

I still don't get how this thing works as a top.

Seems like every Kickstarter campaign hawking a new top claims this, the fastest spin, or a revolutionary new top design. Ditto for sites selling high-end EDC tops.

These days, such claims are easily disproven with a few minutes on Google. So why are they still made? Are consumers that gullible or lazy? Or has lying become so prevalent that everyone expects it and no one cares?

The two balls are fixed to each other. You just wrap the string around the waist formed between the balls and throw it. The thing will spin along the axis going through the two balls. No matter what ball touches the floor first, it will roll, accelerating the precession and making the top stand up. It works well.

I just noticed that Renee's says Hours of Fun from 6 to 60. I think many on this forum would strongly contest that upper limit  :D

I don't understand the purpose of these tips? Maybe they drive like a four speed transmission? They are nice looking, but I'm into tricks and fighting.

Well, I for one am totally outraged, offended, indignant, disgusted, and apoplectic with disapproval. Toy box agism will be seen by historians as the defining social injustice of our time. And old geezers like me aren't the only victims...

Every few minutes, the  people at the corner table pumped their fists in the air and shouted, "51 days!". Finally, the bartender had to ask,
"What are you folks celebrating?"
"Just our biggest jigsaw puzzle ever!"
"So what's with the 51 days?"
"Oh, that's how long it took us!"
"Hmmm, is that good?"
"Well, heck yeah! It said 4 to 6 years on the box!"

I'll let myself out...
