This is insane... Is it possible to regen with a standard coma... I need to try it 
I would think so, at least with the newer ones Spingear is making. The tip can hang onto the string due to the "bump" there, so it would be a bit easier. From what I've seen, with the older traditional ones, they appear straight at the tip. I would suppose regens could be possible, but it would probably require the top be positioned "just right" so that it doesn't slip off the string. I have noticed with many of the Japanese players on the stage, when they are using Komas, it's like "one or two tricks and then discard and move to another top. It just seems with the Japanese tops plays, they bring more tops with them on stage and I notice more discards.
