Top Juggling
« on: January 26, 2010, 11:42:06 AM »

This is the video I made, also in January 07, on juggling tops. The idea had been going around for a long time and I finally decided to try it and have some fun with it. After posting I found that Mike had just visited the players in Indianapolis and there they had also helped Takeshi do some spintop juggling.

Tops are not good juggling props, but trying is what counts . . .  ;D

That is outstanding!  Thank you for reviving this historic piece of awesomeness for me!  The set-up for four tops is impressive enough alone.  I'll have to remember to take an HP with me the next time I go camping... for hygiene purposes!

Thanks for your comments, Chris, and for giving me the excuse to post it again!

Yes, the 4 tops setup is very involved. Juggling several tops really requires other players who feed the juggler with spinning tops. The exception is the start with a nested top which I may try again some day.

Juggling two balls and a spintop could be interesting. It should be possible to do many more than what I did, perhaps with knee and foot bounces and other moves mixed in. But a really long-spin-time top would be advisable (and not the blizzard I used) . . . What do you think, Mike? ;)

Here's what I think......I think Diego is outstanding as your assistant in this video!

Actually, you aren't too bad either, Jorge.  It's a fun video that represents lots of good thoughts about juggling and top spinning.
