Ha ha!!!  Good one Larry.  Yes, they are missing out by not listing the Spin Top HOF.  I see the trapshooting hall of fame made it.

In local news, they have been laying asphalt like crazy at the Riverfront Park area.  People are really working hard to make that space very special for the 200th celebration (and for our top fest).  I went through the barriers late last night and was the first to ride on the smooth and fresh asphalt.  I felt like a kid again biking along that new parking lot surface!!!

Dale and I plan to be there.  Outside humidity is awful for players who have spent so much time practicing.  It might be a beautiful cool day but it could be hot and humid.  I vote indoors.

We are winding down our week long celebration of the bicentennial, the city's 200th birthday.  We had a big parade last Saturday and another even bigger parade today.  I rigged up a 3 wheel bicycle that would take our 96 year old choir director on the back.  It worked out great and many people saw his WWII veterans hat and clapped and yelled "thanks for your service."  Our good friend Jay Robinson is everywhere taking pictures and posting them for the city.  He says he is anxious to do the same for our top fest on the 25th of August.

One very touching part of the ceremonies was when they dug up a time capsule from the celebration 50 years ago.  So many interesting things came out including some with names on them of people I had funerals for.  Just a few minutes ago they resealed the new time capsule full of items to be buried and not dug up until 2068.  Right before they closed the lid I ran up and got a Toycrafter top in and said "Miamisburg is tops.  The nationals will be here this year."  With that they took off and sealed the capsule.  I don't think I will be here to see it opened but my wife said she will be 95 and just might remember me for a moment at that time.

Great move, Mike! Not just the top in the capsule, but marrying a woman 20 year younger! 

If in 2068 they recognize the spintop and know how to use it, it would mean that ITSA has done its job!

I tried to add a countdown counter to the thread but I'm too stupid to figure out how to make it happen.

I am hoping to test for the 16 trick patch at the meetup. Will anyone be available to assess the tricks? There were several of us who took home 8 trick patches last year who were planning to test for 16 this year.
