Alabama shows heart in 3 against 5 basketball
« on: November 26, 2017, 05:55:00 PM »

Wow!!!  This caught my eye.  I just had to bring it up since there are a few Alabama supporters on this forum.  Honestly, I am not here to pick on 'Bama football and their tough loss this past weekend.  I am here to talk about their basketball team and the heart they showed in a tough loss to Minnesota.

There was some kind of scuffle on the court in the second half so a bunch of Alabama players on the bench rushed the court.  The officials do not like athletes leaving the bench to join in on a fight, so the entire bench was thrown out of the game.  That just left the five players on the court to finish out the game.  One of them fouled out and then there were four players.  One more player landed awkwardly on his ankle and twisted it so he could not play anymore.  That left three players from Alabama to finish out the game against their opponents.  Amazingly, they hung in there pretty well and actually closed the gap on the big lead Minnesota had.

There is an interesting video on YouTube about this whole scenario.

Eli is into Alabama Football he doesn't follow Alabama Basketball. However I saw some of the Highlights of the game and was amazed by the performance of the three remaining players.  It was unusual to see a game where most of the team was gone, it was a first for me.
