Thanks for the info Kirk. Most of the photos online of QSH tops show them with a tip that looks like an arrow when viewed from the side. I haven't tried any of the high grade tops and just don't know what to expect.

Aren't you and I in the same area? I got Strummol8's and QSH's you can try out.

I know I must find some of these C-tips Jack speaks so highly of. I just have to wait a bit and then maybe order some.

I really do need to set up a spin top meet!
My Trompo Grande has a steel diabolo tip which regenerates very well. I do have a spare brass one but haven't tried it yet.

I gotta get more consistent with my park schedule. The past few weeks have been a bit crazy. Things are calming down again.

Argh, now that I'm kind of decided to to an order... Should I go up to the STB2.5 or the Guila... They are both convertible and can take the one-way bearing in the future... So comparison time. Which is the one you guys prefere in the S8 lineup & QSH ? The S8 love also look fun to bring along everywhere to play with

Arrow is a good description for the "Gladiator tip.

Not true. He needs one fixed tip and one bearing tip. Then he'll be good for a while.

Once I can hit most of the regen tricks consitantly with the bearings I'll grab a fix tip or a a fixed QSH. =)

But, you can't regenerate with a bearing tip top.  For that, you'll want a fixed tip....
