Thanks!
I am guessing you were first trying to get them to walk around each other?
One of the tricks I tried was walking pass each other on different strings. But the most frustrating part of a trick was landing both tops in the same hand.
They are both spinning CCW, yes?
Yes and that is a very interesting question. I occurred to me that eventually I needed to try it with the tops spinning in opposite directions, but I did not have time to do it and my left hand boomerang is very bad, anyway. As you can see on the slow mo, the tops when they collide spin around each other, like in Synthetic Tangler. On the one I land at the end the tops revolve a full turn around each other but the trick would also work with half a turn or one-and-a-half turns, so you would end with the tops swapping hands (you can see it in many of my near misses). But if the tops spin in different directions this may not happen and the trick might be easier to complete (but less spectacular in slow mo).
now can you do it twice on one throw (or one set of throws)?
No way!
