First raffle of the year.
Just 50 tickets!!!ITSA is a non-profit association (registered in the state of Texas, USA) and its purpose is:
To promote the sport, game, art and hobby of playing with spinning tops, a universal toy.
ITSA would like to support the 2017 World Spintop Contest in Reykjavik. In particular, we would like to help players attend and compete. We also plan to help other spintop festivals around the world, as we have done in the past.
You DO NOT have to be an ITSA member: anybody can buy tickets. This first raffle of just 50 tickets has the following prizes:
I think the main reason to buy tickets should be to contribute to the grow of the spintop community. But you may also get compensated with some nice prizes if you are lucky!
This first raffle of 2017 has only 50 tickets and 4 prizes!
NEW RULE: The winners will be able
to chose the prize they prefer in the order they win.
The prizes were donated by Jose Madrigal, Chris Neff, Jeremy McCreary and myself. They are:
Prize #1: 3 inch 3D printed top by jmadrigal:
The top is the latest iteration in Jose's quest for the perfect 3D printed top. It plays great as you can see in his videos. It has a great size for a top that can do any trick, specially regens, and at the same time has good visibility. It is signed and dated in the inside. It's also numbered: Rev. E7a, #5.
Here is a size comparison with Giulia and a Short Circuit:
Prize #2: Big vintage Duncan patch collection plus vintage trick book
The patches are from the 1960s and 1970s and the collection is almost complete.
The trick book has more than 70 photographs illustrating 24 spintop tricks. In addition, there are contest rules, illustrations of their complete spintop line, and a forward by Donald F. Duncan, Jr.
Prize #3: LEGO Finger Top Kit by Jeremy
This kit was specially designed by technical-lego master Jeremy for this raffle. It includes (i) 13 different tops 24-80 mm in rotor diameter and (ii) some extra parts allowing modifications -- not just for appearance, but also for behavior. All tops are originals designed and built by him. (Oddly, LEGO has never offered a top-making set.)
Prize #4: Knex String-Making Machine by Neff
Now you can make your string like the best in the field!
Rules on next post.
Thanks for your support and GOOD LUCK!
