24 tiny (1/8" diameter) stainless steel ball bearings surround the outer rim of this Osage Orange top...it's a good spinner.

It's a man-made variegated stone embedded into a rivet housing, measuring 10.5mm across. Drilling a small pilot hole for the rivet shank makes them easy to center in the top. They come in several sizes and colors. Here's an example of what's available:
