Harry's Bar sounds good to me.......but do they have Diet Coke?  Do they have a pool table?  Do they have pinball or any other games?  A card table would be nice and we could play Euchre (what is trump?).  I want to be someplace where I can stay busy and have some fun, as it is my day off and there will be enough tension about that day.

I had to check if that was a joke, but it wasn't:
Quote
According to New Hampshire law, communities with under 100 voters can open their polls at midnight and close them as soon as all registered voters have cast their ballots.

Mixing alcohol with widespread political rancor in public will a recipe for trouble here in the US. There'll be a lot of drinking tonight, for oh so many reasons, but it will take a brave soul to watch election results in a bar in 2016.

that's a pity (c'est dommage !)...here in Paris ,at Harry's Bar , it will be a time of fair-play , with American friends of both sides who will mix and drink with a gentleman attitude.;.

besides, what i think is really unfair is the " winner-takes-all " system
like when A G lost against G B

mild fun tonite :-\
i 'm off to it

I voted at noon. There were only 2 people in line when I arrived. When I left there was only one, who is a very good friend of my oldest son!  :o
We did have early voting and I guess many took advantage of that.

As I voted third party, I know my candidate will lose. It will still be very interesting to watch the results tonight . . .

That"s the way it should be. Perhaps we'll be pleasantly surprised.

This is my day off but I stopped by the church around noon to see how everything was going.  They said all was going smoothly and it was a calm but fairly busy day.  My actual place of voting is in another church and I went there around six.  The line was the length of the gym and out the door.  It went all the way down to the end of the hall.  It moved fairly well, though, and they said things were going smoothly there also.  There were no protesters at either place and neither were there any people doing last minute campaigning.  Actually, our mayoral election a couple years ago was way more hotly contested than this presidential race!!!

Arghh.....while typing this, though, I just heard about California shootings and a lock down of their polls!!!

It seems that it is going to be a long night. I hope tomorrow we are not counting hanging chad votes in Florida.

It is midnight central time and it seems that the presidency will be called any time.
I wonder how the white house will look painted in orange  :P

This is all so shocking to me.  I wish I was at Harry's bar instead of laying here trying to go to sleep.
