Wow! Amazing and also sad.

I bet you could take the sign without anybody complaining. But if you can contact the owner, maybe he has some other sign in better shape that he is willing to sell you.

It must have been a very bad top to have to be thrown in jail.  Amazingly, though, people love to see where it was incarcerated!!!

The matchbook for Tops Burgers has a nice illustration of the front of the restaurant as well. It says it was at Victory Blvd and Alameda Ave in Burbank CA. I used to live a mile from there but the place was long gone.

I just watched Western Kentucky University play Ohio State in football.  All the WKU players had the word "tops" somewhere on their outfits.  I was confused until someone pointed out that they are the "Hilltoppers"!!!

The toppers of Western Kentucky are playing in our backyard tonight.  They are in Fairborn, north of Dayton, playing basketball on the Wright State campus.  I wish I was there to check out uniforms or to maybe pick up some lost and left over apparel that says "tops" or "toppers"!!!
