Spintop tip problem
« on: September 25, 2016, 06:15:51 AM »

Hello, I have a little problem with the tips of my spinning tops. Sometimes the tips are oxidized. Any solution to remove moisture or something so they will not rust please. Thanks!;)

i have no idea about how to fix that except maybe store it in a box full of wood chips to keep the moisture off, kind of like a
reverse humidor  :P
oiling the tip wouldnt work on account of getting the string dirty  :(

A mi me pasa lo mismo. Pudes pasar una lija bien fina (800-1000) con un poco de lubricante. Luego le remueves el lubricante. Quedan como nuevas.

Same thing happens to me. You can sand it with very fine sandpaper and a little lubricant. Then you clean off the lubricant. Comes out like new.

Damp Rid works great to get rid of humidity. Keep them in a box this this stuff and you are good.
