It is Monday morning at Mike's house and I feel I have a spintop hangover. But we are yet not finished: the spintop Hall of Fame still awaits us!

Yes, Jim spun that pot on a string! Look carefully at those chandeliers. I had to sacrifice Figaro (and John Marcus also on the foto) to avoid shattering one of them). Figaro had to get a temporary bandage but could still be spun.

I haven't been on here in a while. But after being at worlds this weekend I felt obligated to post. I would just like to thank all of the spinners I met. Especially JohnM for his hospitality.  And The Earl of whirl for his coaching and the opportunity to throw autograph.  It was quite an experience.

I am at the airport so a new top adventure has ended.  :( But what a blast it was!  :)  8)

Yesterday, John Markus was our host (not to be confused with new Figaro inductee, John Marcus who almost got his leg broken by Figaro). I am overwhelmed by the labor of love that John puts into his creations!  Cuper left loaded as you can see.

The plane is about to take off. . .

Did you know the football Hall of Fame game was canceled but the top spinning hall of fame was up and running full blast?  How nice to be able to have some visitors and not have them laugh at the "uniqueness" (or should I say wackiness) of the STHOF.  Many thanks to ta0 and Cuper for their visit.  The hall has been open several times this year and if we have a good number of visitors at the Burg Top Fest it could set a record for attendance this year.

It was fun to watch the face of Cuper walking into the Hall.  It was great to play Mark Hayward's top plinko game.  It was an honor to bring in Marco Palma as the latest inductee to the hall and place his trophy on the shelf.  It was neat to see his interest in skittles.  He has never seen the game before!!!  He took lots of pictures.  Of course, how thrilling to bring in the new winner's trophy from the world champions!

One bit of trivia brought out by johnm concerning bearing and fixed tip tops at worlds.  Sure seems like many more people are playing fixed tips!!!

For not attending, I had a pretty great worlds.  Chris, Scott, Adam, and Jacob before the contest to get the excitement level up.  Mike, Austen, and Eli for lots of details afterwards and a second set of details from Mike, Jorge, and Marco as sort of a fact check because some stuff sounded pretty wild (it all checks out).  And finally a visit with Kirk and Rachel to wrap things up.  Thanks to everyone who visited and shared some personal stories and insight into the 2016 Worlds, its adds an extra dimension to all the great photos being posted.

Hey Mike, I found a clothes pin in the street while walking back from K & R's car. ;)

Derailing a bit: It seems the YoYoExpert Yo-Yo mystery box for the Cleveland contest included a red Short Circuit.

It could either drum up interest for spin tops or end up being a nice thing to buy on eBay.

I know I'm late to the party here but it was great to see everyone at World's this year and to meet people I've only seen here online.  You guys are all awesome, I can't wait to see you all again soon!  In the meantime, I've been inspired to make myself a top in the 4"-5" range so we'll see how that goes.

Ta0 - wasn't the winner supposed to receive some grade EH string?

Earl - the clothespin you found on the back of your shirt was from me  :-*

It is early Tuesday morning and I am wondering if anyone got the license plate of the truck that ran over me?  And then hit reverse and backed over me again!!!  Whew, I am definitely feeling jetlag.....and I wasn't in a jet.

Thanks Neff for the morning laugh.  Clothespins - such a simple thing yet full of potential fun and humor.

Rob - good luck with your top.  I can't wait to see it.  I enjoyed our time together in Cleveland.

mrraindog23 (or was it 24) - great to finally meet you and it was an honor to work with you and autograph.  johnm is the one who made that top and he enjoyed the story of your spinning.

Yes, short circuit was a great inclusion in that box.  I thanked Yohan several times for making it and he seemed pleased.

I got a Kyo top in the hall of fame.  It is just a simple finger spinner but I know more is to come.

johnm - thanks for another clothespin laugh
