The Gates and Top Dog are amazing I wish they would remake both, they just need to do a different tip setup and maybe a better plastic.

For this one i will make a delrin tip... anyway after a throw i can agree, the Top Dog is a very good top, i like it a lot.

also, a pretty smart feller had the idea to try compressed air... haven't tried it but interested if it would do the trick.

A top dog I would not open. It will practically be impossible to put back together again. If you want to see the innards, check this post:
