STB 2.5 test tops sale
« on: October 14, 2015, 02:10:10 PM »

Hallo, in the last months i produced some test tops, a run fixed tip only and one bearing only. All come with the aluminum cap hard anodizided. Some tops are dyed red, purple, yellow. I keep five of each type for me, but the others are available at 30€.

Photos?

Nice to hear that you continue developing S8 tops, Maurizio.  :)

By the way, do you have core assemblies for the FMJ/STB3.0? I want one to put a bearing-point tip on one, and perhaps also a custom tip.

I'd love to pick up a white body/black crown for that price. I'll send a private message here in a day or two. But, shipping could be an issue to the United States(a bit tight on funds at the moment!

I also got mine this week. Beautiful tops. My first STB so I have no comparison with the original, but I really like how it plays. The tip is also different from the tip in my older Giulia. I have to play more with it, but I think it holds the string really well.
Thanks for the opportunity Maurizio.

Ine question for other who have the metal version, I know the derlin are almost indestructible, how do the metal one hold up to drops in hard floors?
Thanks,
Juan

The metal top (STB3.0) definitely cannot break. It has relatively thick walls, so it won't dent like an old YYF can. But the nice oxidized finish will mar somewhat easily if it hits something hard like concrete, for example. A beginner player at Texas Regionals had one that looked pretty bad. Mine was mint until I used it at the park in front of the Tokyo National Museum. I chose a place with mostly dirt and grass but the top hit a lonely stone  :(

Thanks jorge. I have tile floors and wanted to know if I can risk playing inside.

Received my tops last week and they are beautiful. Tips, strings with buttons were included.

Even the fancy 'S' stickers were present.

Thanks for offering these tops for sale.
