what was the last top you used ?
          RFC
It was a Chico 2.0, best top for jumping the rope (where is my sponsorship check?  :P ). For fixed tip I used the same modded  Spintastics Hollow Points I have used for 10 years (they are already trainned  ;D ). The T-Shirt is also Spintastics (I gave several as gifts to the Koma players).

Today I am taking the bullet train to Nagoya. My dream of sleeping at the koma museum is going to become true!  :o  8)  8)  8)

Cleveland, doko deska? (= Where the heck is Cleveland?) is what all the Japanese were asking   :D But it is a great location for tops! We should have a good contingent of US players. What's more, if the Miamisburg festival can be held Sunday afternoon, all the worlds players would be able to attend! If it was held Saturday, some of us will still make it, but you would lose Dale, Val and perhaps some of the yo-yoers (e.g. Tyler, Mike).

I liked that a lot.  Watching that was very enjoyable.  Thanks so much for posting it, Mark.  Can anyone identify all the participants once more for me?

This worlds was a fascinating experience.  We were worried about having it.  We were thinking about other locations.  We were concerned about enough participants.  Then, when it was all said and done, this is the first time we have had prelims since.....what?......2007 when we had compulsaries!!!  How amazing.

I loved compulsaries but this was a good example of what can be done without them.  Good job, everyone!

Mark, thanks for posting this.  I didn't realize the prelim participants had such a short time to prove themselves.  I would have had a hard time picking the top five.

That was really fun to watch! It was great to see so many top spinners that I don't know already. I love our little community but it sure is fun to know there are more of us out there. I'm sorry to have missed it.

Here's the Prelim list: 2 people on the list weren't in the vid.
Rob Tsou later on was able to be a judge though.  :)
Daisuke Watanabe wasn't in the vid either be he can do some nice koma spintop tricks from this other vid I've seen of him. It's a FB link but you might be able to see it.

and Here's the list in order of those in the Prelim vid.
1. Takahiko Hasegawa
2. Shogo Ichikawa
3. Val Oliver
4. Keita Watanabe
5. Mike Durdak
6. Tsutomu Takeda
7. Yoshihito Fujita
8. Ryoichi Katsukawa
9. TA0 Jorge Alcoz
10. Kazuhito Miki

It took me a little while to put a name to the faces.

Congratulations Jorge!!! That freestyle was very entertaining to watch - the last trick where you performed a jump rope blew my mind!

I like that prelim video. It seemed more like a hang-out session but everyone got to take center state for a bit. Looked like a lot of fun!
